The Turkish Film Festival is in its fourth year. This year it is hosted by GATECH at the Instruction Center.

The 2004 festival took place at the High Museum of Arts. The films that were shown weekly, on March 27th and April 3rd were:

  • Uzak (2002, Nuri Bilge Ceylan),
  • Vizontele (2001, Yilmaz Erdogan)

The 2003 festival took place at the High Museum of Arts. The films that were shown weekly, from April 5 to May 3, 2003 are:

  • Fate (2001, Zeki Demirkubuz),
  • Confession (2001, Zeki Demirkubuz),
  • Propaganda (1998, Sinan Cetin),
  • Rain Drop (1998, Zeki Okten) and
  • Summer Love (2001, Baris Pirhasan).

The 2002 festival took place at the White Hall, at Emory University campus with co-sponsorship of the Department of Middle Eastern Studies. The films that were shown weekly, from March 29 to April 26, 2002 are:

  • Vizontele (2001, Yilmaz Erdogan),
  • Elephants and Grass (2000, Dervis Zaim),
  • The Republic (1998, Ziya Ozkan),
  • Balailaka (2000, Ali Ozgenturk) and
  • The Singer (2000, Ersin Pertan).

We hope to continue presenting select movies from the contemporary Turkish cinema in the coming years.
